My dear brother
Krishna, (Moses Oderson - The voice of an angel).
Thank you for the
memory, I forgot.
We were the band on
the mount that night,
We played with
Moses, Hudson Mckoy on Keyboards, Wayne Hackett on Drums and myself on Guitar.
I did not know he
died, so sorry to read this now, he was our Michael Jackson.
So he died before
or after my good friend Pascal Bharath ?
Thank you again
Krishna, it was one of the best functions that was ever held in our time.
Cheers Mi Amigos,
Adios Glen McKoy.
(Thank you Ladislao & Don for the Circular),

Hope you are well my friend.
I do look forward to meeting you
someday...
Do you ever visit California, USA?
Regards, Krishna

We remember well the Open House at the
Abbey School, Mount Saint, Benedict, in October of 1973 when the house, filled
with parents, friends, siblings, priests, and a full complement of day-boys and
boarders assembled in the refectory for a celebration of academic and athletic
achievements.
Awards were given out for stellar performances
in Math, Science, Literature, History, Religion, and for swimming, football,
cricket and athletic performances.
A side bar of that event included a
program of entertainment produced by the Abbey schoolboys under the tutelage of
Professor Llewellyn McIntosh.
That date and moment stand out for one
reason alone.
It is a moment, that all in attendance
will forever recall...the emergence of Moses Oderson as a musical talent of
enormous potential.
On that occasion, he announced his
arrival to SUPER STARDOM on the Mount Saint Benedict.
Feisal Khan, Stuart Petit, Zephryn
Robinson and I, intimates of Moses already knew of his wondrous abilities.
Moses could tell a story with wonderful
embellishment...
He could share a spicy joke to make the
most stoic blush, and he could SING.
On that night at the Abbey there were
usual sophomoric skits and plays; puppet shows, and lame comedic routines...And
then there was Moses Oderson. Simon and Garfunkel at the height of their
careers could not have expected MOSES' slow build of their most famous ballad:
"Bridge Over Troubled Waters,"
into a crescendo that demanded and drew a STANDING OVATION from all in attendance
on the Mount...
What a moment for Moses, What a moment
for Mackie's production, What a moment for the Abbey School, Mount Saint
Benedict.
The audience demanded MORE. MORE,
MORE...Behind the drawn stage curtain Mackie drew Moses and his friends together....Zephryn
suggested Moses sing "BEN."
We, his friends since 1971 had heard it
before and knew well that it would work...
Mackie reintroduced MOSES again...for a
solo to a maddening, standing, overenthusiastic audience...and he delivered.
Moses Oderson's rendition of "BEN", a Michael Jackson hit, blew the
roof off the other ....... refectory ... lights out a magnificent moment in the
100 years on the Mount.
It is a memory, those of us privileged
to experience, will remember to our last day on earth.
Sadly, Moses passed too soon...
He is gone now from this life, but those
of us who were honoured to be his friend and colleague, will remember him
forever.
He enriched our lives by sharing his
prodigious talents.
He enriched, too, the Abbey School, its
history, and lifted all of the souls gathered on that magical night in October,
1973 on the Mount Saint Benedict.

To all my MSB
Brothers and their Loved ones and extended families,
My sincerest wishes
for a very healthy, happy and prosperous New Year.
I pray Our Lord
blesses you all, and wraps you all in His love.
I am sending the
pictures that we took at our little 'Pre-Christmas' reunion.
It was such a
beautiful evening.
We took away with
us some really wonderful memories.
The only thing that
would have made it better, is if more of you, our brothers, and wives and
younger ones could have been there to share and enjoy the truly wonderful time
we shared together.
The evening was
made even more happy with the Great Bandit, serenading us all with his great
journey of music playing some of the old favourites.
Thank you so very
much David, It was an honour meeting you and your lovely wife Jenny, Patricia,
your daughter.
I hope your Family
enjoyed a most Blessed Christmas in your family reunion.
(I understand there
were "40" members including grandchildren.) You are truly blessed.
Salah, with his
glowing pans.
I was watching your
face as you played, your eyes were closed and the beautiful notes just flowed
through you reaching our ears.
It was so much
feeling that permeated the room in your music.
Thanks so much for
sharing your gift of music with us.
Even without the
accompaniment of some technological electronic gadgetry, you played your
beautiful music, making the evening resound with magical sounds that only the
pan can produce.
The Roti was
delicious; the Carib was cold and the company just wonderful.
Thanks to all for
making our little Christmas celebration a most wonderful time.
It was an evening
filled with wonderful memories.

Ladislao, I went to
the Abbey School from 58 to 62.
My brother
Christopher was also a student there and he left in 60.
Hope this helps!

Hey,
You guys are
showing your age with memory impairment!
Peter is the
younger brother of Tilson (sons of the former mayor, Yes).
Tilson was in my
classes (Form 4 and 5).
Peter is the
proverbial womaniser and charmer preferring women taller than him (not
difficult for him), when I observed his pursuits in London in the 60s! And
always a smile on his face.
He was well known
for picking up women in Church on Sundays in Bayswater.
Ask Bolo Krogh!
So it is not
surprising that he still goes to church for his 60th and his wedding!!
Paying his dues, I
guess!
Edward where the
hell R U? Haven't seen you in 50 years!
By the way, my 87
year old father, now in Toronto, thinks the world of your sister Shirley.
Congrats on your
40th - hard to get that far these days!
I'm semi retired
living a sweet life in PoS.
Cordial regards
Jon Golding
