First class, Freddy. This is just great. Thank you so much.

Gabriel, welcome to the Abbey School Old Boys Database and General Info News Sheet.
We've been trying to find you for some years, and today is the first time, I think, that we've got a real piece of info on you that we might be able to use.
We've also been trying to find another chap, Alan Hoefle, but we understand that you are not related to him (Class of 1961).
Please confirm receipt of this email, so that we'll know we've contacted you for sure.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Freddy,
Do you have an email address for Gabriel?
Jeremy - it seems that Gabriel does not know of an airplane crash in which supposedly one of the Hoefle boys had died. Could this be Alan? Any info gratefully received.
Laz - do you have a photograph of Gabriel, please?

Hello Nigel ,
Have finally managed to speak to Gabriel (Gabor) Hoefle in La Guayra.
There were two brothers
Gabriel and Carlos .
Carlos the older. Attended Mount along with me in the same class.
With Cornelius also by the way.
We were always competing for the first place in class. Very intelligent.
Not sports prone. He died in Caracas at the early age of 23 of cancer.
Gabriel (Gabor in Magyar) the younger also attended at the same time but in a previous class.
He is happily living half time in la Guayra and half time in Caracas.
He attended our last lunch in Caracas in December. Ladislao must have his photo.
They were cousins of Francisco Raffensberger who recently died.
Gabriel tells me that he has heard of a third Hoefle but does not know anything about him and/or any aviation accident. Perhaps Laz could look into this. They are Magyars.
Best wishes,
Freddy

Freddy,
Thanks for the news. Good to hear that some of the OBs are getting together in Venezuela as well.
Can you please do me a favour, since you're in touch with the Hoefle "boys". I'd like to get their email addresses, if at all possible.
Can you help with that? So far as I know, their names were Alan, Carlos (died) and Gabriel.
Also, there seems to be some mystery about a plane crash which took the life / lives of one or other of the boys.
It would sure help is you could clarify for us.
We'll miss you on the 21st.
Merry Christmas to everyone.
Nigel

Thanks for the update, Freddy.
Your meals were delicious.
I guess that you seem to have the same challenge in Venezuela with participation.
As I recall, there are at least 30 alumni living in the Caracas area.
On the political front, you have the governor elections this weekend and Chavez “recovering” in Cuba.
When will you know about your Canadian residency application?
Good luck,
George.

Glen,
So far, here is the list of guys who have declared their intention to attend at the Dec 21st Rotilicious lime:
Dave "Bandit" de Castro and his wife, Jennifer
Salah Wilson
Hudson McKoy, his wife Lynda and son Dino
Anthony Bhopa and his wife, Simone
Carlos Guio
Paul Dewan and Esther
Jerry Chin Cham
Bernard Stone and his wife, Maggie
Cornel de Freitas, Mike and his 2 sons, Christian and Lorenzo
Myself, and (if she's not swamped with cakes), Jackie
Negative response: Andres Freytes (he's in Venezuela)
It's terrible that so few would even send a one-liner to me to let me know that they can't make it. (Perhaps one or two others might "just turn up.")
Anyway, we should have a great evening. Thanks for your concern.

Dear Nigel,
I am concerned about no replies to the invitation to the Toronto get-together at Rotilicious.
If we cannot get a Yes or No to this, how the hell will we get people to Trinidad for 2014 grand plan.
I am not impressed, if you can't attend send an email and say so, please if you live in Ontario.
I am sending this to Don, Kazim & Ladislao, please put in the blog and the face book site, thank you
Cheers Glen.

Wonderful, Hudson.
Good suggestion, to use Island Mix. We've been there, investigated the idea, decided against it and reverted to Rotilicious for other reasons.
At the same time, I've invited everyone in the Ontario dB list to consider "hosting" an evening in their areas.
So far, only David Johnson has come forward and we had a great evening at his home in Summer.
Other than that - not a bite!
So . . . . Rotilicious it is, at least for the time being.
Look forward to seeing you and Lynda. What about Dino?

Hi Nigel,
We will try to make it to the Get-Together...have you ever considered doing it at another location ?
I believe 'Island Mix' is close by and located in Pickering and has good food & entertainment...let me know your thoughts...

Keep up the sterling work Nigel,
If it wasn't for your dedicated & unselfish approach for bringing people together, then I am afraid that none of this would have been possible.
As you are aware, some are much more reserved and vocal than others, while others need the thrill of a contact to spur them to correspond others a kick up the backside.
Keep up the good work lads and God Bless.
