Dear Friends,
God willing, I shall be at the 2014 celebration, make sure that
the bed is long enough, jajaja
Last time I could not make it for the 100th
anniversary because of the Venezuelan Presidential elections that fell on the
same weekend.
Remember, folks, that I shall be in Miami first week or second of
February.

My Dear George, (Attention - The Club).
This is a strong statement, but this
statement is why each and everyone of us is here.
Once there was no Circular, then this guy
came out of the Sky and created one.
Once there was no List, then this guy came
out of the Light created one.
Once there was no Club, then the Knights of
White Stones rose from the ashes.
Yes I agree that we are deemed to live in a
fantasy world, for if we all had no feelings, no thanks to our past that have
created our future, if we cannot face up to our triumphs and failures, then we
ourselves are living a lie in the present, and would not be having this
conversation, there would be no Abbey School Nothing.
Thank God, it is not that bad and we do have
a lot of communication with a lot of brothers all over the world.
Can many of us ever come together to share
this Joy we all do hold in our Hearts?
I don't know, but this I know for sure, any
mission we attempt with regards to our Greater Alumni is impossible and
exceedingly difficult, and at times each and every one of us have given up, for
a few moments.
I would like to say, let's stop wasting our
time, however I am also a sheep that follow, Ladislao, Nigel, Jon & Don,
when these guys throw the towel in, well I will also disappear, into a secret
sacred invisible Club.
George I know exactly how you feel, you are
a man of action and expect results quick, but this is not a logical project,
this group is heart and soul, passion and emotions, these things we can not
control and that is why, its all so personal.
When I felt like you do, Ladislao is very
clever; he would send me something I wrote, along the line, to be calm, cool
and collective.
I love you man.
I will share this email to all my brothers,
all must know, what we the non-profit, no fees, no obligation, no pressure,
pure brotherly love of a small group of Volunteers are experiencing at this
time in our evolution of making some thing, out of nothing, MOUNT.
Their time and their contributions to a
school that just disappeared.
Adios Amigos-
Glen....

I think George has a good point, make different reunions at
different times at various locations and not make everyone travel to one
location that may be not all have the resources to do so.

To all my brothers,
I seem to find a sad note in Glen's reply
and that disturbs me.
I like the club the way it is with those who
like to respond and those that do not care to respond.
It is actually impossible to have many agree
on a suitable place for a reunion for many various reasons money--time-country
ect-ect-ect. So, we do it in pieces anytime we have a chance and that my
friends is reality.
However let us all appreciate all the
correspondence and comrade we get from emails and Facebook.
And make no mistake about this- the
enjoyment we all get from glen's stories about the knights of white stones.
You keep it up my brother—
We love you—

St. Maurus, abbot and deacon, son of
Equitius, a nobleman of Rome, was born about the year 510 and died in 584.
When he was about twelve years old, his
father placed him under the care of St. Benedict at Subiaco, to be educated in
piety and learning.
When he had grown up, St. Benedict chose him
as his coadjutor in the government of the monastery.
He was a model of perfection to all his
brethren, but especially in the virtue of obedience.
St. Placid, one of his fellow disciples, the
son of the senator Tertullus, going one day to draw water, fell into the lake,
and was at once carried away by the current.
St. Benedict saw this in spirit in his cell
and bade Maurus run and draw him out.
Having asked and received the holy Father's
blessing,
Maurus hastened down to the lake, walked
upon the waters, thinking he was on dry land, and dragged Placid out by the
hair, without sinking in the least himself.
He attributed the miracle to the command and
prayers of St. Benedict; but the holy abbot, to the obedience of the disciple.
St. Maurus was sent to France in 543 to
propagate the order of St. Benedict in that country.
He founded the famous abbey of Glanfeuil,
over which he ruled as abbot for thirty-eight years.
In 581 he resigned the abbacy, built for
himself a small cell near the church of St. Martin, so that in solitude and
prayer he might prepare himself for his passage into eternity.
After two years he fell sick of a fever: he
received the sacraments of the Church, lying on sackcloth before the altar of
St. Martin, and in that posture expired on January 15, 584.

I had a really great visit here at the Mount
and had the privilege of meeting Fr. Cuthbert in the Pax Yogurt factory with
its manager/Director Abbey School Alumnus, Maxime De Comarmond and I gave him
your kind regards.
He beamed from ear to ear (really prominent
ears).
Today is the Feast of Sts. Maurus and
Placid, the names also given to Frs. Maurus Maingot and Placid Ganteaume, the
first local vocations to the Monastery in Trinidad.
Today is also the 55th Anniversary of Abbot
Hildebrand's Monastic Profession and the 17th year since Bro. Ian St. Louis
died.
Let's pray for many Caribbean vocations to
the monastic way of life; the life of the enclosed, solitary life that
influenced our own lives in the Abbey School and through the kindly, paternal
ways of our former teachers.

Hi Nigel:
Nigel, I did not receive the picture
mentioned and Christmas your email, so I am unable to help identify anyone.
Thank you for making contact with all the
MSB Brothers inviting them to join us at "Rotilicious" to meet the
famous and multi-talented "Bandit" (David diCastro) and the awesome
pan player Salah Wilson.
Bandit and Salah (and all you really
terrific 'Brothers' accompanied by their wives and in some cases families) . It
was a really wonderful evening.
Neither I nor Michael and my two grandsons,
Lorenzo and Christian will ever forget that evening.
The Roti was as usual delicious, the
Christmas music was great, Bandit played his heart out accompanied with
background 'bottle players', the other voices joining in singing, the camaraderie.
It was just a really special evening.
Tell Jackie her Cup~Cakes were a big hit at
our Christmas dinner, and I gifted the other dozen to Dr.Joseph Radice and his
family as a Christmas gift, and they too loved them. "Spectacular"!
No other words will suffice!
If you have not as of yet received the
pictures of that wonderful Pre Christmas reunion/get together,
Michael will forward them to you. He has
already downloaded them from his camera into our database.
Best regards from Michael and myself, and
Christian and Lorenzo reall had a good time
Thanks!
Cornelius

Dear All,
I have been preparing the layout of the Blog
for the 2013 Circulars from Ladislao.
It occurs to me that some of you may have
personal webpages that are missing from the Links.
Or, you may have another one to the one I
have given for you. Let me know, please.
Note that, if you like, you can enter your
email address in the appropriate place in the right-hand column to get
automatic email updates from the Blog when a new Circular is posted.
If you have any suggestions for improving
the layout or content of the Blog, please feel free to let me know.
It can be seen at: http://abbeyschoolmtstbenedict2013circulars.blogspot.com/
You will note that it does not yet
contain any Circulars.
We are finishing off 2012: http://abbeyschoolmtstbenedict2012circulars.blogspot.com/

Dear Shaun,
My son is going to Sydney, he will be all
over the place, he is a wonderer, he skydives, he did not reach Australia yet,
already told me he and some friends are going on a tour to India in August, he
is a real dreamer ha! ha! What can I say, like father like son.
Thank you again for your comments and
questions on storage, and the types of film or data.
Well for the storage we would like it
private.
Most of the data is from Ladislao’s
Circulars, which is the body of the work.
Then Nigel has the Class Photos and related
stuff also.
The objective is to put things in order,
from 1944 to 1984, all the pieces are there, thanks to Ladislao & Nigel,
and others like Don & Jon, that have contributed to this development, now
we are ready to put this puzzle together ha! ha!.
Now Nigel is already in Dropbox. If we stay in Dropbox, I will pay for the 1st.
year storage, we need storage.
Now Shaun, I will have to get some feed-back
from Ladislao, Nigel & Don, on if we have a lot of stuff to scan, or just
stuff that can all be transfer easily.
If there is a lot of stuff to scan, I will
have to know, how much it will cost to get this done. Ladislao & Nigel,
will have to tell us, if he can he get someone in Venezuela to work on same and
how much it will cost.
Once we have all the stuff in one location,
then the real work begins.
A few others have indicated we should get
this project going, and will donate if extra funds are required.
However I would like you Shaun & Gabe,
to remain in consultation with this project, with regards to this initial
setting up process, your guidance will enable us to start on the right foot,
and not all over the place ha! ha!
So please bear with me, if I ask you guys a
few odd questions now and then, thanking all in advance for their time and
attention on this project.
Best Regards -
Glen McKoy.
