Hi, Lindsay,
It was good to see the message from you on the latest Circular: http://abbeyschoolmtstbenedict2013circulars.blogspot.com/ and, to know that you are okay.
I have often wondered over the past 50-odd years how you fared.
I studied law in London and returned to the Leeward Islands in 1971.
I have lived and worked here ever since.
My brother Gordon graduated as a civil engineer in Scotland a year or two after me, and also returned to the West Indies.
He has lived and worked in Trinidad and Tobago ever since.
Perhaps you can help me with a name that I believe may be missing from the database kept by Nigel.
Was there ever a boy from Saint Lucia named “Peter Kingshot” or something like that during your time at Mount?
Keep well.
Don

Thanks for including me in this initiative, Don.
Perhaps we can also ask one of the Johnson boys, or Stuart Monplaisir, whether he remembers anyone by that name, from St. Lucia.
I also have another friend, Jeffrey Devaux, who lives in St. Lucia, who might check into this for us. (Jeff - would you please check on this and let us know what you find?
Also, would you mind asking Richard Johnson to let me have his email address?
Thanks.)

FROM:- THE LION'S DEN / A BUNKER INSIDE OF A MOUNTAIN / HIGH UP IN THE SKY.
As the month of April 2009 draws to an end
Old man Winter is still blowing cold winds from up north.
He knows that the sun is around the corner, and will rule in the month of June.
Mi Amigos, My Brothers, I extend my warmest greetings, born in the month of August/ Leo, on the island of the Castle, that sits right under the Sun, I stand in the Realm, as "The Lion Knight".  Long live the Mount.pax.com
WELCOME TO THE DEN/PRIVATE CLUB /MEMBERS ONLY ASAA /MSB OLD BOYS. T&T.
Tales from " White Stones", The Last Circle / year=198X /Attitude of Gratitude.
CIRCLE OF 8 KNIGHTS+1 KNIGHT STANDING+1 KNIGHT ON WATCH=10K.
Copied from the book, "The King of Hearts" in the Bunker, that is kept in the Chest.
Beyond politics, religion, race and ideologies, we become One, as we walk into the Light, and enter into Realm of True Knights. In the last 2 weeks, in the last month of the last year, of a Knight on the Mount.  He must repeat his pledges and vows, he made in the beginning, so too as he leaves. To stand in the middle of the Circle of 8, also 1 Knight on watch, at the base of the hill.
Below the Eagles in the Sky, on one knee they kneel, in their Secret, Sacred Circle. On their "Holy Ground", that place they call "White Stones." Surrounded by mountains all around, in this Sacred Emerald Forest, of Mt. Tabor, he pledge his vows, 4years, 4ever, Till Kingdom Comes, we will meet again in the Present, as the Legend reads, and that is when the real Magic begins, in our Golden Years of Light, we will find Wisdom, all Knight. This was the Last Circle, ever recorded, the following year, the Abbey School was closed. As I copy these tales from the book, "The King of Hearts", I find it so fascinating, that as I am copying these tales, a lot of strange things are actually happening as I write, how can this be possible, If you told me this story, and knew nothing of the Mount, I would have a hard time believing it. Like out of nowhere new brothers are coming in, with so much joy, like if they were returning home, or something, after a long journey, absolutely incredible, out of nowhere, they all reappeared, these so called Knights, without any communication, for 30 to 40 years. Like Cosmic Vibes right out of the Universe they arrive. Its beyond my imagination, these tales of Knights, for some strange reason I believe, as I am copying and writing, from this book "The King of Hearts" which was handed to me by a grand master (T), a few years ago, he said, please "Lion Knight, I am getting slow and I am getting old, so you must do your best, to let the Brothers know.   These tales are real, and don't forget I told you so, as you go into this book, your life, will also change. "The Lion Knight", Standing in the Light.
Best Regards my brothers, may the sun shine bright on you, may God bless and take all your troubles away, have a nice day, until we meet again,
Glen McKoy.

E- Book.
You have done a great job in your adventure-fantasy creations.
It needs to be documented.
Would not surprise if it eventually is translated into a movie.
Looking forward to reading it,

Hello Sir Ladislao & Company,
Back to E-hard cover book. I have to accept the fact that I am knocking on a closed door, with regards to a cabinet of old photos, on the Mount.
Now what baffles me is, the only people interested in these photos, would be us, who are still alive, these photos are really our private property.
However, I am glad to know that they do exist, well kept and protected.
Moving on, my son is going to help me put the Tales of The Knights of White Stones, into some kind of order, he is a writer, working on scripts ect. he asked me, I did not ask him, so that was a surprise to me.
It all started off, as a few good men exchanging some stories, then Bandit started to bug me about a book, then Anthony Lucky seriously asked me a couple of times about this book, also offered to help, and then you Sir. Ladislao said to complete it.
I have been a little shy at first, because I am not well versed in the English language, as you may have noticed from the emails you get from me, ha! ha!,
I can draw, play chess, play guitar, piano, drums, sail ect. but I was never no writer, you guys went into my heart, and drew out all the Mount I had in me,
I must thank you all, for the inspiration you gave me, and then the true encouragement with every Tale, ha! ha! the dreams of a boy.
Anyhow it’s in the works, and hopefully in time, a positive manuscript.
The Knights of White Stones, Mt.Tabor.
The next thing I have on my mind is to try to organize all the photos we do have.
If it is easily accessible,
I will get it in a video format, a keep-sake for all to have.
Just wanted to let you know, I am aware of our priorities.
Re:  Reunions,  Laz, honestly, where ever a reunion is happening, the brothers in that region, are responsible for that location’s arrangements.
George, did a lot of work on this, he has the figures, not much encouragement to a Trinidad reunion from the members living abroad.
Laz, with regards to the Trinidad Alumni Association.
I know nothing of this group.  What you put in the Circular, I will respect, however I don't feel connected due to their lack of communication.
Its prime purpose is a yearly get-together, and I praise them for this.
Just keeping in touch, we are still with the program, Cheers my brother, take care.
Glen.

REMEMBER THE LAST TWO BOOKS FROM THE MT ST BENEDICT??
Sorry to inform you that the author is no longer with us.
I met him after he wrote the first book and told him about a foul up in one of the photos that is in the book.
In our conversation we agreed that the photos need to be catalogued to avoid confusion, also that the method used was not the best for history.
Fr Mark (Gerald) Tierney 1925-2011
From a homily preached by Abbot Bernard Lorent of Maredsous Abbey
2 GLENSTAL NEWSLETTER Spring 2012 Spring 2012 GLENSTAL NEWSLETTER 3
The word of God addressed to us today illustrates two important aspects of the life of our brother Mark. The first is transmission. Christ addresses his very first disciples and these in turn pass on his message immediately to others.
They bear witness to their meeting with Christ and refuse to allow it remain hidden in their hearts; which means they have to communicate, they have to get across to others, what happened to them when their paths were crossed by Jesus. Fr Mark dedicated his life to such transmission. His work, his passion for history, was communication of the memory and witness of things past to generations of students who studied their history through his text books. Looking at the titles of his many works, he begins with the history of his locality, Murroe and Boher, and then opens out to the whole of Ireland before embracing Europe and the rest of the world. He turns his attention to religious history also in his studies of Irish monasticism and Benedictinism especially as this unfolded in Glenstal Abbey. His work proceeds into hagiography with the life of Columba Marmion, dealing as it does with his doctrine and his influence on the spirituality of the Church in the lives of so many priests and religious right up to the present day.
Fr Mark knew that it was possible to be a Benedictine without being a saint; of living a life worthy of publication which can be of benefit to future generations. I am thinking as a case in point of the biography he had completed before he died of Dom Maieul de Caigny who left Maredsous to become Abbot of Bahia in Brazil and who later founded the monastery of Mount Saint Benedict in Trinidad. We hope that this last work will see the light of day in time to celebrate the centenary of their foundation. Fr Mark carried out his work as historian to the very end of his life here at Maredsous. It was his way of bearing witness and handing on the tradition lest we forget; of living out those words of the apostle Philip: ‘Come and see!’
The other aspect of Fr Mark’s life, which the Gospel this morning indicates, is his vocation. Every conceivable vocation mirrors the exchange between Christ and Nathanael. Christ chooses us first. We think we are in control of the situation because we have the privilege of always being sceptical: ‘Can anything good come out of anywhere?’ ‘Before ever Philip spoke to you, I saw you under the fig tree.’ Christ makes the first move. Before any approach is made to any of us, Christ’s loving gaze surrounds us.
Fr Mark responded to God’s call by choosing monastic life. He placed his confidence in the wisdom of St Benedict who tells his monks that wherever they are they are seen by God, not as one who threatens but as one who loves.
In prayer, then, let us unite ourselves with the one who was at the heart of Fr Mark’s vocation, Jesus Christ, whom he loved for himself, in his brothers and sisters, and in all his study and research. May Blessed Columba Marmion welcome him into the mystery of Christ which we now celebrate together.

Dear Ladislao,
I have altered the settings in the older Circulars on the Blog.
No one seems brave enough, or very few, to leave a comment on any of the Circulars.  Only spammers regularly attempt to post junk and unwanted advertisements and links to their semi-literate web pages by posting comments.  I have to go into the web site nearly every day to delete these unwanted comments.
So, I have disabled the comments feature on the older Circulars.  I have left it live for now on the current Circulars for 2013.  I encourage all Old Boys who recognise a photograph, or who want to comment on any message in the Circulars to do so by following the instructions on the home page.
If anyone wants to post a comment on any Circular or photograph, but is unfamiliar with the process, please just send me an email at idmitchatanguillanet.com, and I shall post it for you.
If anyone has a question on this, please let me know.
Keep well.

SECTION;  2014 REUNION Part 1
This event seems far away, but by the way wind blows, maybe we should put the arrangements into hands of professionals. This would create accountability as to actions requested or taken.
So I propose that we hire an individual or company to take over the arrangement of the reunion, with a specific agenda.
This way it should clear the road for a positive action and free the time for those that have limited time.
Since the directorate of the association are the trusted guides to accomplish this, I would remind all readers that we are called to cooperate with the Board of AASA.
So lets us make worklist as to what each of us would like to see done, or be part off in this Reunion.

Hi, Nigel,
I just read your email on Ladislao’s Circular No 594 about perhaps only doing a database for the interested and voluble.
Please don’t even think of it.
In my view, the value of the database lies in its objectivity, its lack of connection with any particular sub-group, its all-encompassing nature, its historical value as a total record.
When you and I are dead and gone, let others cut it up and use bits of it for their own minority interests.
Like the worms do to our mortal remains!

From Glen:
AWAKEN KNIGHT.
The Universal Mind, is not only intelligence, but it is substance, and this substance is the attractive force which brings electrons together by the law of attraction so they form atoms, the atoms in turn are brought together by the same law and form molecules, molecules take objective forms and so we find that the law is the creative force behind every manifestation, not only of atoms, but of worlds, of the Universe, or everything of which the imagination can form any conception.
You have just entered the Time Zone - 1942- 1985 - Mt.St.Benedict, Abbey School, Tunapuna, Trinidad W.I. (This is a Private Site, Alumni only).
ABBEY- OLD BOYS=WELCOME= TO =THE CLUB....Jan=2010...MI AMIGOS....
TALES OF THE KNIGHTS OF WHITE-STONES, FROM THE BOOK THE KING OF HEARTS.
Letters from The Past Leaders - (Circle#58)
The year 1958, the 4th year and last year, of this leader of the Knights on the mount, His-Story.
My dear brothers, it has been a hard 4 years, we have toiled well, in our labours on the bunker, and the safe keeping of the chest.
I know I have to give a last speech, that will be written into the book,
The King of Hearts, I have learned so much in these few years, and it would take a long time to tell it all, so I will pass this on to you, what I think express, most of us, this I attained while meditating, on our sacred, secret spot, we call White Stones, high up on the mountain of Tabor, in our secret meetings, circled around the meaning of life.
Today we are just beginning to emerge from the repression and superstition that have limited human thought for over a thousand years.
The concept of freedom, for example, is cherished by all and many even believe that because they enjoy a certain freedom of action they are truly free.
Yet many of the ancient inhibitions are still with us, confining most men´s minds more rigidly than prison bars and chains, depriving them of attaining their desires. It is high time we all grew up.
We all possess gifts of the spirit as St. Paul described them.
When we begin to regard these gifts for what they actually are, human abilities that need but to be encouraged,
we will find ourselves on the threshold of a new, richer and more exciting life.
It will lead you to become a greater and better human being, my brothers it is time I too must leave the Mount, but we know, we will meet again, should all go well, after the great year 2000.
May you all strive to and achieve your hearts desires, in my earnest wish for you all. For the younger Knights I leave this message.
It’s not your job to change the world, or the people around you.
It’s your job to go with the flow inside of the Universe and to celebrate it inside the world that exists, our Castle on earth.
Soul Rapport and How it works.
Soul rapport is the third general telepathy classification.
This exists to a greater or lesser degree between all individuals.
As each person achieves a greater refinement and leads a more spiritual life, he gradually becomes more aware of his fellowmen.
As you train yourself to use psychic energy and employ ever greater surges of this remarkable gift, you will find that spiritual awareness shows a corresponding improvement.
You will become more and more cognizant of all that goes on about you, not only the thoughts and emotions of the people who are close to you, but also the stirring of life in the trees, bushes and flowers, the feelings and intentions of animals, and the great Cosmic calls of wind and rain and tempest.
This is the highest human form of telepathy, that of the awakened soul, with this knowledge, I became aware of the truth of the world and myself.
This is the best time to have ever been alive in history, it’s the first time we have ever had the power to gain knowledge at our fingertips, living on this mountain of peace and the powers that lie in that chest.
We have the ability to tap into this unlimited supply through our thoughts and feelings and bring it into our experience.
Almost one hundred years ago, without the benefit of all the scientific discoveries of the last hundred years, a chosen few knew how the Universe operated, and please ask our good Dr.Vooosh, Our Father of Science.
If you think you are this, meat suit running around, think again.
You are a spiritual being!
You are an energy field, operating in a larger energy field.
We call it the Realm.

Donald McIntyre - who left MSB in/about 1949
Ian,
I seem to be getting some wires crossed, and I apologize.
Please tell me - were you ever a student at Mt. St. Benedict yourself?
If so, would you please let me know the years during which you were there?
And finally, are you related to Don MacIntyre?
Thanks.

OK, you OOOOOLLLLDDD guys (I mean really old guys),

This, of course, is merely to update our MSB dataBase.
Any help in this direction would be appreciated.

Hello Ian,
Thank you very much for your interesting input.
I've been trying to get in contact with the Old Boys of Mt. St. Benedict for a long time now, and suddenly, out of the blue, as a result of my question re. Donald, I get, not one, but TWO new email addresses - yours and Donald's.
I'm particularly intrigued by the fact that you have written to me, since, only last night, I'd heard from some of "the oldies" (as Arthur Knaggs calls your bunch) indicating that you had died and gone to the great oilfields of heaven, and I so announced to everyone, asking for prayers for your soul.
The prayers seem to have worked, though, because, here you are today, hale and hearty, a wonderful tale of resurrection.
So, welcome back to the Land of the Living. I hope you aren't disappointed in how we've managed since you left us. In the meantime, how about dropping me a line, when you get a chance? 50 words - no more . . . . .  just to tell us where you are, what you've done with your life, and (hopefully) to send us a nice photograph of yourself.
Hallelujah!

Hi Nigel,
Not sure why you would want a recent photo of any of us in our old age!
If I had to choose between this one attached or the one on the Circular of me in 1960 aged 14, guess which one I would prefer my school friends from 50 years ago to remember me by :-)
Keep well.

A short answer to all--I am from the old boys at the beginning of the school--1944 to 1953.
I am 77yrs of age, you have no idea the pleasure reading the news letters brings me.
Like the latest story from George-and the knight's stories from glen.
I personally wish more old boys would express their feelings and thoughts and experiences as they saw  it in their time.
There honesty is invigorating (how silly young boys are-the excitement to touch a girl hand or leg blows the mind) special thanks to Ladislao and Nigel for doing a tremendous job over so many years—
Yes, and thanks to Kazim and all the new guys for getting involved and adding websites ect-ect.
Peace,-love and God’s blessings to all of you.
